I am a Registered Social Worker and Certified Career Development Practitioner. I’m fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, allowing me to provide counselling services in all four languages. With over seven years dedicated to serving marginalized communities, I approach my work through an anti-racist lens, integrating an understanding of intricate social intersections into my anti-oppressive practice.
I use various therapeutic modalities to address a range of issues. This includes employing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for phobias, anxiety, depression and mood disorders. I’m also well-versed in trauma-informed, strength-based, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I also incorporate narrative approaches in my sessions. My mission as a social worker is to instill hope, nurture strengths, and empower individuals to cultivate resilience across life’s various challenges. I recognize the importance of the right support in overcoming hurdles and view each interaction as an opportunity for mutual learning and growth.
